Here’s the short of it:
I’ve started a new Web site and podcast at www.ApoliticalSHOW.com. It’s a chance for you to now HEAR my rants instead of reading them.
Here’s the long of it:
I haven’t updated this site for a long time because I’ve been putting all my energy into a NEW site – ApoliticalSHOW.com.
I’ve always loved radio. My dream as a small child was to be a radio DJ. However, since that wasn’t a realistic aspiration, I ended up getting a degree in journalism (insert irony here).
After producing a radio show for the past eight months or so, I’ve learned enough to feel comfortable about doing it myself. So I bought all the equipment and started doing some podcasts. It’s going to take some time for me to get really comfortable behind a microphone, and to be able to get a good flow to what I’m saying, but I’m hoping these next few weeks and months will produce a great site/podcast.
So please listen to the episodes – they’re at most 10 minutes – and please give feedback. Let me know where I’m wrong, and I’ll be able to comment/clarify on another episode.
And if you have anything to contribute – including if you’re a musician and want me to use your music as my intro/outro for an episode or two – please send it my way. You can e-mail me at Scott (at) ApoliticalSHOW.com

This is my most recent, Provo- and Orem-related article to appear in Schooled Magazine. And although it was written specifically for the BYU/UVU audience, its application is hopefully universal. Enjoy.
Norse lore tells us of the troll – a mean and often ugly creature whose soul purpose was to bring hardship and heartache to anything he encountered. Most famously, perhaps, is the Norwegian fairy tale of Three Billy Goats Gruff where the antagonist troll lives under a bridge over which three goat brothers need to cross in order to get to greener pastures. It’s good to know some people are still fighting the battles worth fighting.
